After releasing another EP in 2008 and touring for three years, the band released their second album, This Modern Glitch, in 2011. Their debut studio album, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, was released in 2007 and featured some tracks first released on Girls, Boys and Marsupials. The group met while they were students at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and released several EPs before their 2006 album Girls, Boys and Marsupials, which was released only in Japan. They have sold over 1 million copies worldwide. The band is signed to 14th Floor Records and Bright Antenna. Since its inception, the band’s line-up has consisted of Matthew Murphy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass, backing vocals, keyboards), and Dan Haggis (drums, backing vocals, keyboards).
